What
is the Living Food Lifestyle™ ?
Living food is provided by
nature, organically grown in its original, uncooked state.
Live foods provide the body with the life-giving, easy-to-digest nourishment
needed
to strengthen the immune system. Seeds, grains, nuts, fruits and vegetables
in their
natural, uncooked state are the living food used
to rebuild health - physically, mentally, and emotionally.
The Living Food Lifestyle™ Menu
In essense, the nutritious food we prepare for
our guests at the Ann Wigmore Foundation is simple, creative
and delicious, using only the freshest raw, organic
fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and grains.
The first week of the Living Food Lifestyle™ program emphasizes gentle,
easily digestible meals that assist the body in beginning the detoxification
process. It is a light cleansing week, full of nutritious raw and living foods,
including energy soup, salads, dressings and simple fare to gently promote
your rejuvenating experience.
During the weekend between weeks 1 and 2 we give ourselves time for a fruit
and vegetable juice fast, allowing the body time to further rest, cleanse and
rejuvenate.
The
second week of the Living Food Lifestyle™ program gradually
incorporates more substantial fare such as raw hummus, raw
tabouli, guacamole, nori rolls, dehydrated crackers and breads,
vegetable pasta, living foods pizza, and many more raw gourmet
treats! You will be delighted with the variety and amazed
by the taste!
